Classic Crime Novel
Started Reading: 2011 (December or November)
Finished Reading: 5/2/2012
I started off 2012 with the following book:
The Sicilian by Mario Puzo. I have finished reading the book on 5th February, 2012.
Book 2: Meghnad Bodh Kavya by Michael Madhusudan Dutt
Epic Poetry
| Meghnad Badh Kabbo |
Started Reading: 5/2/2012
Finished Reading:
Well, this book was written in 1861, so it's a staggeringly 251 year old book. It is unlike anything I've ever attempted reading. When I was young, a small 10-20 line excerpt from this poem was included in our Bengali language textbook, and despite of the very difficult structure of the poem, I enjoyed reading it.
I was never a big fan of poetry, but I always wanted to read this book.
Movie 1: Dus (2005)
Action Hindi
Watched: 5/2/2012
Watched this random movie on a random TV channel. It was an okay movie. Nothing too special, nothing too bad. Esha Deol and Shilpa Shetty looks nice, though.
Book 3: Keppler 22B by Muhammad Zafar Iqbal
Finished Reading: 12/2/2012
I have finished reading this book already, and it was quite nice. It's a typucal MZI sci-fi flick, so if you enjoy reading them, you will enjoy reading this book. As always, there's a reference to "jober ruti and titir pakhir mangsho" being the most coveted food of human beings.
Book 4: Megher Upor Bari by Humayun Ahmed
Started: 11/2/2012
Finished: 13/2/2012
An awesome book by Humayun Ahmed. Liked another Humayun Ahmed book (after Badshah Naamdaar) in the recent times. I think he is going back to his writing roots, and this new novel is a powerful and engaging tale of a soul trapped in this mortal world. Most likely inspired by "The Ghost", this is a great new book to read.
I might actually write a full fledged review of this book soon.
Book 5: Danob by Muhammad Zafar Iqbal
Started: 11/2/2012
FInished: 13/2/2012
Book 6: Rong Pencil(?) by Humayun Ahmed
Started Reading: 15/2/2012
Ended Reading:
A seriously boring book. Perhaps this is the book of bragging for H.A.
